Money Gone For... Sales! pt. 2

E poi ci sono quei saldi che aspetti con ansia e per me sono quelli da MAC alle Gru che se hai la tessera GruKey ti fanno un -20% di sconto sui loro prodotti a parte Viva Glam. E io ne approfitto per prendere i pezzi basic del mestiere tra cui i pennelli. Questa volta ho fatto un bel botto e anche se il mio conto scende sono pezzi che avranno lunga vita e di cui sono super contenta! Mi è dispiaciuto però che Ruby Woo fosse terminato e che quindi sono dovuta ritornare a prenderlo senza più usufruire dello sconto.
Ne ho approfittato anche per prendere due pezzi della collezione Aprés Chic, la matita nera e il "blush" e devo dire che sono molto soddisfatta delle due, soprattutto la matita se la metti non la sposti più, un po' meno è la resa come kajal nella rima interna in basso ma sarò io che lacrimo troppo... ahha.
Cosa ne pensate? Anche voi drogate di MAC?

There are some sales that are more special than others and for me one of those are the MAC cosmetics one. At "le Gru" if you have a card called GruKey you can get all the Mac products, except Viva Glam, with a -20%!! So I always make a list of stuff and I end up buying all the basic things that I will use forever and that will last as long! Unfortunately they run out of Ruby Woo lipstick so I had to come back and get it without the discount.
I also got 2 pieces from the new Après Chic collection that I'm happy with. I like the black pencil that is very solid and lasting except inside my inner corner of the eye, but maybe it's just me having a very watering eyes .. ahah.

21-10 Money Gone For...

Ecco cosa comporta fare shopping con un'amica che non si vedeva da tanto tempo...
Mi chiedo cosa facevo prima di scoprire Sephora?!! Comunque bando alle ciance ho preso un paio di cosette fondamentali e un paio da provare. Non ho fotografato tutto nel dettaglio ma posso dirvi che ho provato già tutto ed ecco cosa ne penso dei singoli elementi, li metto anche in ordine in base a quanto li ho apprezzati dal più amato a quello che non mi ha ancora convinta.

1) Il leva smalto di Sephora funziona benissimo, forse l'unica pecca è un po' l'odore ma rimuove lo smalto velocemente; è solo un po' strano infilarci il dito dentro... :)
2) Il serum per le ciglia di Dior anche se caro lo consiglio perchè separa bene le ciglia e le prepara al mascara.
3) La crema per cuticule di Sally Hansen ha un profumo da sogno e ammorbidisce veramente la pelle intorno all'unghia.
4) Buono anche lo Scrub di Sephora ma l'ho provato una volta sola quindi direi che è un prodotto ok.
5) Top Coat di Essie...forse non ne avevo veramente bisogno ma sembra far bene il suo lavoro per ora.
6) L'Oreal  Super Liner Gel mi aspettavo un miracolo e forse le mie aspettative erano troppo alte comunque con quel pennellino non mi trovo per niente. Il waterproof invece regge.

This is what I bought after a trip to the mall with a friend I haven't seen in a while. I am starting to wonder what was I doing before being a maniac over Sephora? eheh. However I leave you with some detail about the products I bought since I already have tried em all. I've also put em in a list based on how much I liked them and the ones that still need to warm my hear.

1) The nail-polish remover from Sephora  works really well and fast; I just wish it had a better smell but it's not disturbing at all. Quite funny to stick each finger in the jar.

2) The Dior's lash serum is fantastic to prep your lashes before putting on mascara.

3) Sally Hansen's cuticule remover has an awesome smell and does a great job on mosturizing.

4) Also the Sephora's Body scrub works ok.

5) Essie's top coat maybe I didn't need it... but it seems to do his job in the right way.

6) L'oreal Super Liner Gel maybe I was waiting for the miracle to happen but it didn't. I mean the waterproof is great but I cannot use properly the brush it came with... gotta try with an other one.

15 - 10 Money Gone For...

Incredibile ma vero non ero mai entrata in un negozio La Gardenia, ma almeno sapevo della sua esistenza. Al contrario It Style mi è del tutto nuovo e quindi non ho potuto non prendere qualcosina da provare...
Il pennello forse non è stato un acquisto molto utile perché non sono sicura di usarlo nella maniera corretta e quindi cercherò dei tutorial online per ulteriori spiegazioni (nel caso tu caro lettore, ne sappia di più per favore condividi il tuo sapere in un commento, sarà apprezzatissimo).
La matita rossa per labbra è molto scrivente ma la mina è un pochino dura.
Il matitone insieme all'ombretto roll-on sono più per mia mamma ma provandoli sono prodotti ok, niente per cui impazzire.
Il blush/ombretto in crema è di un colore che mi mancava e con l'abbronzatura mi sta bene, meglio di un rosa.
Dalla Gardenia ho preso il mio primo prodotto Smashbox: una matita per occhi viola. Il punto che mi ha entusiasmata di più è che sul pacchetto dicono di essere cruelty-free ed è una cosa per me importante (regola che dovrei impormi di più!). Il temperino è utile e il colore si stende bene senza fatica e rimane...forse però avrei dovuto scegliere un colore più sfruttabile ma si vedrà.
Prima matita della Clarins di un bel marrone/oro waterproof che devo ancora usare e infine uno struccante per viso con cui mi trovo molto bene. I prezzi dei prodotti It Style si aggirano intorno a quelli di Kiko, ma ammetto di non ricordare perfettamente. Invece più cari sono quelli di Smashbox per cui ho usato uno sconto del 20% :).

I have never shopped before in the beauty store La Gardenia and I've never heard about It Style. So I've decided to give it a go. I bought a few things that are useful.
From It Style I especially like the red lip pencil which works perfectly but I have to say it's a bit hard. The roll-on eyeshadow and the big eye pencil were for my mum but they work ok nothing special about. Instead I still have to figure out how the  rubber eye shadow pencil exactly works (in case you know and would like to share it will be very appreciated). The cheeks blush is in a color that goes well with my tan better than any pink ones.
At La Gardenia I bought my first Smashbox product: a purple eye-pencil which works very well and the most appreciated thing is that it's cruelty-free!
Secondly the Clarins's brown/gold waterproof eye-pencil which  I still have to dig.
At the end a new make up remover that I'm totally happy with.

Ecco la caccia/avventura/maledizione non importa come voi la chiamate l'importante è che sia iniziata!
Quindi ho messo alla prova la mia capacità latente di desistere e non comprare se non quelle cose di cui ho strettamente bisogno... tipo ad un -20% da MAC non si dice di no giusto?!
Ecco che quindi come era già successo quest'inverno mi sono fiondata al corner MAC di LeGru per portarmi a casa un po' di cose basilari, da manuale. Per la prima volta la mia esperienza è stata positiva al 100% perché la commessa che mi ha servito è stata gentile e paziente facendomi provare anche sulla mia pelle un po' di tutto.
Ecco quindi cosa ho portato a casa. Come se non bastasse ho fatto un saltino dalla rivale Sephora che aveva un -30% su tutto il loro marchio così da poter prendere un pennello grande che serve sempre e questi adorabili adesivi che mi auguro siano migliori di quelli della Essence.
Ora spero di mettere un fermo al mio shopping di cosmetici e prendere anche qualcosina per il mio guardaroba che si sente tanto solo. Ok è una bugia.
E voi come ve la state cavando con i saldi?

Finally the hunt/adventure/curse had begun. I don't care how you call it but this sweet time of the year is back and I tried my best to focus only on things I really need. Hence a -20% from MAC was the first thing on my to buy list. So I went there and got some basic things and my experience was great thankfully to the saleswoman who helped me out and let me try on tons of thins. These are the things that add up to my prev collection.
After that I went to the opponent store, Sephora, to use a -30% on their products. I hope the nail stickers will be better that the Essence ones.
Now I hope I can focus on buy something for me closet who feels lonely. I lied about this last thing.
And how are you guys dealing with the sales?

16-06 Money Gone For...

Ho fatto un salto da Mac per prendere qualcosa della Hello Sailor collection che ha un packaging molto attraente. Mi sono lasciata rapire dal rosso per le mie labbra e ammetto che stavo quasi per comprare lo smalto bianco color gesso... mi ha fermata il prezzo e soprattutto il desiderio di andare a caccia di un dupe che costasse molto meno. Dalla Coin no, dalla Ovs no... mi sembrava un'impresa soprattutto perchè tutti quelli che provavo non avevano la giusta coprenza anzi erano acquosi e troppo trasparenti.
Sono passata poi da Sephora a ritirare la borsa che mi avevano messo da parte e sono contenta  di quanto sia grande e con grande gioia ho trovato il colore che cercavo con la texture corretta di Essie!
Sono molto impressionata dalla coprenza e durata e per 11 Euro (più buono sconto) penso sia fattibile.
E voi andate mai a caccia di dupe per risparmiare un po'?

I went shopping at the Mac store because I was madly in love with the Hello Sailor collection. Especially with the stripes on the packaging! I've fallen for the red pencil and lipglass and I was almost going to buy the white nailpolish but then the high price got me thinking... why shouldn't I go look for a dupe of this color that isn't so expensive? So I went to the Coin store and then Ovs but they were unsuccessful. All the colors where too transparent and not the right shade. Finally I found it at Sephora meanwhile I went there to get the bag they reserved me from last time big shopping spree. The white is from Essie collection and it's an amazing texture and it's long wearing. It's about 11 euros but I also used a discount so it was a deal!
How about you guys? Do you usually go around looking for dupes?
